1. What is a Planning Site Notice?
A Site Notice is a physical notice of a planning application
erected on site prior to the lodgement of a planning application.
All planning applications in the Republic of Ireland require the Applicant to erect a site notice. Site Notices must be erected prior to lodgement of a planning application to the local Planning Authority.
Failure by the planning applicant to erect and maintain same will risk a planning application becoming invalid.
2. When and how long must a Site Notice be displayed?
A Site Notice must be erected no more than fourteen days prior to the lodgement of a planning application and must remain in situ and in good order for a minimum period of five weeks from the date of receipt of the planning application.
3. How quickly can we erect the site notice?
We have the facility to erect your planning site notice within 72 hours, on receipt of order.
4. What files do we accept?
We must receive a site notice and an o/s location map to inform the erection of Site Notices. These can be provided to us digitally via the following file types (pdf, word doc, jpeg).
5. What is a Monitored Site Visit?
Post the erection of a planning site notice, we can carry out one or more site visits to monitor and maintain the planning site notice(s) dependent on your needs. We send a monitored report after each visit via email with photographic evidence.
6. Site Notices Invalidation Risks
The erection of a Site Notice(s) must comply with local Planning and Development Regulations, non exhaustive examples of potential invalidation risks are:
Incorrect Size - A site notice is not erected A4 size and / or printed in indelible ink.
Incorrect Colour - A site notice must be printed on a white background for a first notice, or a yellow background if you apply for permission for a subsequent development on the same site within 6 months of the first application.
Incorrect Quantity of Site Notices - Incorrect number of site notices erected on site, i.e; if two are required on site and only one is erected.
Insecure Site Notice - Site notice must be rigid.
Site Notice Damage - Site notice is weather damaged.
Location & Visibility - Site notice is missing, erected at the wrong location, not visible to the public or not in a conspicuous location, illegible, obscured or concealed.
7. What if my planning application is invalidated and / or requires an amended site notice?
You will need to erect a superseded or new site notice depending on nature of invalidation, please contact us immediately.
8. In the event of an emergency
